| Fig has a high place among other fruits. It is a soft, sweet and fleshy fruit which help people to be healthy.
Middle East is the native land of fig, but it had spread in Mediterranean area from ancient time. It was raised at large (broad) fields near Nile River about 4000 years ago. Also, it had been one of the basic food of people in Mediterranean area for thousands years. Fig contain great amount of water and protein, fat, and hydrocarbon. Most part of it –about 50 to 75 percent- is cellulose, so fig is useful for diabetic people.
Fig can be eaten alone or with other food or fruits, it increases it’s nutritional values. If we use fig with flour or starch, we may not suffer from constipation. In addition, it would be mixed with milk, easily.
